| Marie Salzburg who led the mixed chorus. She was a little bit of a thing with a mouth that could wake up folks on Staten Island. She got wonderful results. We sang at various community activities and even in Manhattan. Some of the boys were even scouted for and appeared in a movie. I often think of how hard she worked. She had the highest expectations. | |

| Mr Diaz was some one that helped me beleive. He always said "Ms Estrada" you are what you want to be. I always talk about him with respect and sadness that I never saw him after I graduated from HS. He was my mentor and inspiration on becoming who I am today... | |

| I have the fondest memories of Fort Hamilton and the best teachers I will always remember Mr. Carucci (Drama Class) what a wonderful and exciting teacher. Mr. Diaz (spanish and Dean) one of the funniest teachers with a mean temper! Last, Ms. Fucci (Room Teacher) she was great and always optimistic of life! | |

| Who remembers the Principal Jon Leder? He was in charge for the two years that I attended Fort Hamilton. He was a pretty tough guy and once busted me inside the rear gates for putting an unlit cigarette in my mouth before exiting the grounds. That act cost me three days in detention. I was an "Army Brat" from Fort Hamilton and had moved to Brooklyn from Lincoln, Arkansas. Talk about culture shock. Regards, Michael Patterson | |

| Does anyone remember the Assitant Principal/Dean's name? I think that it was Quigley but I may be wrong. He was a Army Reserve Officer and every time I got caught doing something wrong he would call my father, who was a regular Army officer (I was, of course, an "Army Brat." | I remember when the male teachers did the Village People at the Octoberfest on stage along 3rd. ave. I think Mr. Rizzuto ( drivers ed & Phys. ed. ) was the leather dude and it wasnt a stretch for him because he always thought he was a Macho Man. He wore the gold chains w/ the shirts open. He was a riot. Mr. Noce played the indian. Hysterical!! | |

| Myself and George Sullivan were in Mr. Siclaris class and we used to call him G.I. Joe w. Lifelike hair. The guy really did look like Joe. We used to terrorize Mr. Siclari. He sent us to Principal Coscarellis office on more than one occasion. The guy had no sense of humor. GO JOE!! | |

| Ms. Frishberg was an inspiration for me. She was my homeroom teacher as well as English Holocaust class. She was a very special teacher, whom I still think about all these years later. She made every day a special one-in which we can be thankful we live in the USA and have the freedoms and choices we have and the great teachers who inspire us to become better adults. | |

| Great teachers at Fort Hamilton. A favorite of mine was Mr. Goate' who was my history teacher. Also my English teacher, Mrs. Persky, was terrific. Jon Leder was principal at that time...tough man and never smiled...Mr. Quigley was assistant principal...nice man. | |
